One particular piece of art that  stood out to me in the Lascaux cave was the Fallen Cow. As you can see, the Cow is much larger in size than the horses around it.  Maybe this symbolizes the power and strength of the Cow. The website says the color on the cow is purple, even though it seems more like a slight red. Whatever it is,  it must represent some form of injury or bruise to the cow. This is likely to happen if someone is trying to kill the cow or using a whip to control the cow. My conclusion is that the cow is in some form of danger.

  1. I agree. The red must represent injury. These caves were used to document animals that these people hunted. It is very likely that this is the depiction of a wounded cow. Good observation!
